Check attic for evidence of any leaks, animals and proper ventilation.
Inspect countertops for separations and sinks and backsplashes. Recaulk if necessary.
Inspect shower or tub enclosures for proper fit. Adjust and recaulk if necessary.
Check weather stripping and or caulking around windows and doors.
Windowsills, doorsills and thresholds: fill cracks, caulk edges, repaint, replace if needed.
Storm windows or doors: Replace any cracked or broken glass, tighten or repair any loose frames and repaint if needed. Replace damaged hardware. Tighten screws. Lubricate door locks, hinges and closers.
Inspect and repair or repair weatherstripping that does not seal.
Clean and check refrigerator drip pan - icemaker connections.
Plug in sensitive electronic equipment and appliances into UL-listed surge protector power strips.
Clean or vacuum exhaust fan vents, return air grills and supply registers.
Clothes washer - clean water inlet filters; check hoses and replace if they are worn or are leaking.
Clothes dryer - vacuum lint from ducts and surrounding areas.
